M&E Kaiser Limited’s Managing Director, Jamila Faniyi, joined the jury panel for the Building Information Modelling (BIM) Africa Innovation Awards 2023 on the 18th and 19th of May 2023 in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco. Jamila is an experienced BIM manager and coordinator, making her a great fit for the role.

The jury panel comprised exceptional industry leaders including Dr. Jarar Oulidi Hassane, a teacher-researcher at the Hassania School of Public Works (EHTP); Mrs. DahbiaMeddahi, Founder and Director of IPFIG Technological Innovations; Mrs. Asmae Laaouane, a professor of Construction Economics and Building Information Modelling at Hassania School for Public Works; and Mr. Vity Claude Nsalambi, a BIM Manager and Vice President of the Order of Architects of Angola.

The BIM Africa Summit for 2023 focused on the digital advancement of the built environment for a sustainable Africa. Other topics, such as the impact of cutting-edge technologies on the construction sector and the creation of smart cities, were also discussed.

The BIM Africa Innovation Awards 2023 aim to recognize individuals, projects, teams, and institutions in the construction sector deploying innovative solutions to further Africa’s development. The awards are part of the BIM Africa initiative, a not-for-profit community that seeks to regulate and enable the adoption and implementation of BIM in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and (AEC) industry across Africa.
